At the beginning of the matching season, a new calendar with all dates and deadlines is published. The exact dates change every year so you must obtain the current calendar to make your plans. These calendars are published at the ERAS and NRMP websites. The following is an example of a typical match calendar.

June	• ERAS tokens are released by designated deans • Current ERAS manual is available to download
July	• MyERAS opens for applicants to send their documents
August	• Registration to the NRMP starts
September	• ERAS PostOffice opens and residency programs can download applications
October
November	• ERAS PostOffice releases the Dean's letters (MSPE) • Interview season begins
December	• NRMP registration deadline
January	• ROL submission begins • Deadline to withdraw from the NRMP
February	• Interview season ends • Late NRMP registration deadline • ROL submission deadline
March	• Results of the match are published • Postmatch scramble • Hospitals start sending letters of appointment to matched applicants
April
May	• ERAS PostOffice closes
June
July	• Your new job starts
